Hartley YMCA Group Exercise Programs

Special Announcement:

Under the guidance of the most recent Guilford County Mask Mandate, effective August 26, all YMCA patrons and staff are required to wear a face covering when indoors. This includes all indoor group exercise classes, fitness centers, personal training, and integrative coaching programs.

Mask Mandate Quick Facts:

  • Face Coverings must be worn at all times when inside of the Hartley Drive and Carl Chavis facilities.
  • Face Coverings must be worn while exercising in a Group Exercise class and/or within a fitness center.
  • Face Coverings are not required while using the pool for lap swimming or Water Aerobics.
  • Members and guests are not required to place advance reservations for group exercise classes at this time.
  • Group exercise classes currently do not have any capacity restrictions.
  • Social Distancing remains encouraged wherever possible.
  • Face Coverings are not required when outdoors.

INDOOR CYCLING

Our comprehensive indoor cycling program is designed for adults of all ages (participants must be at least 16 years old) and ability levels.

It's as easy as riding a bike. Once you learn, you never forget. The enthusiastic instructors are great at motivating you through mountainous terrain, rolling hills, and flat beach roads. Give indoor cycling a try. Members may reserve a bike up to two days in advance by calling 336-869-0151, or sign-up at the front desk

20 bikes are available. To reserve a bike, call the front desk at 336-869-0151. You can make reservations as early as 2 days prior to class time. If you reserve a spot, please be considerate of others and show up on time or call to cancel if your plans change. All classes are subject to change without notice.

We suggest you wear the following attire to class:

  • Padded Bike Shorts
  • Stiff Soled Shoes (cross-trainers)

Hand towels are provided, but please bring your own water to class.
