Lynn has been with the YMCA for 38 years. He began his career at the Rowan County YMCA in Salisbury, after receiving his Bachelor of Science/Recreation degree with a minor in Business Administration from Appalachian State University. He spent 10 years as the Chief Operating Officer at the YMCA of Greater Charlotte providing leadership and oversight for the Operational Vice Presidents and Vice Presidents of Capital Projects and Facilities for 19 facilities and two resident camps across five counties. He joined the YMCA of High Point as Chief Executive Officer in April of 2017. Lynn is married to Daphne and has 3 children and 4 grandchildren.

Annette joined the YMCA of High Point as Chief Financial Officer in May 2013. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of North Carolina – Greensboro with a BS in Accounting in 1987 and started her career in public accounting, specializing in not-for-profit and insurance accounting. Annette has served as CFO in several healthcare and not-for-profit entities, including an eight year tenure at one of North Carolina’s largest not-for-profit senior living organizations. With over thirty years of experience in financial leadership, Annette holds designations as both a CPA and CGMA. Annette is married to Wynn and has two children, Ethan and Claire, one granddaughter, Caroline and one grandson, Reid.
MARY ANN EDWARDS

Mary Ann has been with the YMCA movement for 30 years, beginning her career in her childhood Y in Davidson NC as a gymnastics instructor. For 25 years she served in a multitude of roles in the YMCA of Greater Charlotte including IT, Financial Development, Membership & Marketing and Operational Leadership as Sr. VP of Operations giving leadership to five branches and two resident camps. Since 2018, she has served in the role of VP of Advancement of the High Point Y giving leadership to Financial Development and Marketing. She graduated from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill with a major in economics and minor in business and received her MBA from Queen’s University in Charlotte. She has two daughters Madison and Savannah.

Michaux has been with the YMCA for 27 years, all of which were served in the High Point Association. Michaux graduated from UNC in 1988 with a BA degree in Physical Education. He began YMCA Career at Camp Cheerio in 1989. From 1992 to 1995 he served as the Sports Director at the Central Family YMCA (now Hartley). Michaux took over as Camp Cheerio Director in 1996. He is married to Michelle and has 2 sons, Jack & Luke.

Paul has been with the YMCA for over 29 years. He received his Bachelors of Science degree from Northern Michigan University with a major in Recreation Administration and a minor in Public Administration. Paul has served several YMCAs throughout the nation including as a as the Executive Director with the YMCA of Greater Charlotte for 8 years and as the District Executive Director with the YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids, responsible for three YMCA branches and two Program Centers. Paul has three daughters, Anna, Hope and Abigail.

Carlvena Foster was born and raised in High Point, NC. Carlvena is a proud member of the historic William Penn High School, Class of 1968. She received her B.S. Degree in Business Management from Shaw University; received a Master of Science Degree in Public Administration from High Point University; and has completed the required course work towards a Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership, through University of Phoenix. She is also a NC State Certified Level III Child Care Director. Mrs. Foster has served as the Executive Director of the Carl Chavis Memorial Branch YMCA for 17 ½ years. She was elected to the Guilford County Board of Education, representing District 1 in 2008, and currently serves the citizens of Guilford County as a County Commissioner, elected in 2014. In 2016, The High Point University Splash Park at Carl Chavis YMCA was named in her honor. She is married to Otis Foster and has 2 children, Keesia and Britt, and one adorable grandbaby girl “Cabria”.
ROBBIE SMITH

Robbie has been with the YMCA for nearly 23 years. He started his YMCA career as an Afterschool Counselor for the Hartley Drive Family YMCA in 1995. After graduating from John Wesley College, he served as Youth and Teen Director. He worked for the YMCA of South Hampton Roads, YMCA of Northwest North Carolina, and the Summerville Family YMCA, before returning home to the YMCA of High Point in 2013.

Andrea has been with the YMCA since 2013. With degrees in fashion merchandising and accounting, and more than 24 years experience in human resources and finance, Andrea serves the Y well as the Human Resource Director.
