MLK Parade

23rd Annual MLK Parade hosted by Carl Chavis YMCA 

Sunday, January 18th from 2:30 - 4:00 p.m.

 

This event is an annual celebration for the City of High Point as we remember and honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The MLK parade is family friendly, entertaining, and fun. It's also an opportunity for businesses, social and community groups to make this city strong to come out and be recognized while supporting and making a difference. We welcome marching bands, step teams, schools, floats, bikers, children, and adults- all who would like to participate!

The parade route will begin at W. High and S. Main Street. Lineup will begin at 12:30 pm on Green and S. Main Street. Parade will start at 2:30 pm. Route will end at Qubein Ave. and N. Main Street.

If anyone is interested in being a parade entrant, Carl Chavis cordially invites them to fill out an application below and secure their place in line. Fees are non-refundable. Parade will be held rain/snow or shine.
