2025-2026 'Draw Like a Panther' Form

Draw Like a Panther presented by the YMCA of High Point is an art competition for children grades kindergarten through eighth grade. Every child who participates will receive two High Point University Basketball Tickets for a game in the Qubein Center and winners will be honored at a select High Point University Basketball Game!

All children who submit a drawing will receive two HPU Basketball vouchers that they will be able to redeem at select HPU Basketball Home Games for the 2023-2024 season. Winners' artwork will be rewarded four HPU basketball Game vouchers, shown on the video board and on social media. They will be officially honored at a home game in the Qubein Center. 

Official Rules

2025- 2026 Draw Like a Panther

  • The contest is open to all children grade K-8.
  • One entry per person.
  • Drawing must be originated and completed by participant.
  • All participants must use COLORED PENCILS, PENS, AND/OR MARKERS. No crayon entries accepted.
  • Your design must include the word “Panthers,” and/or “HPU,” and must choose a basketball theme.
  • Design must fit in the box provided. Stay in the lines!
  • Entries will be accepted in person at the Hartley Drive Family YMCA front desk or by mail to:

Entries must be submitted no later than December 15, 2025.
 

  • ALL children who submit a drawing will receive a voucher for (4) free tickets to a select basketball game in December. (Games included in promotion are HPU MBB vs. Mary Baldwin on December 16, HPU MBB vs. LaSalle on December 19, HPU WBB vs. Yale on December 20, HPU MBB vs. Bryant on December 22, HPU MBB vs. Pfeiffer on December 28 and HPU WBB vs. UNC Asheville on December 31.)
  • Winners will be selected by a panel of judges.
  • Winners will be notified by a member of HPU Marketing. The winning art will be showcased on HPU Athletics social media pages, as well as at a special Half-Time presentation at the January 6, 2024, Men’s Basketball Game versus Gardner-Webb. More information to follow.
  • All artworks will become the property of the HPU Athletic Department. Entrants and his/her parent/guardian grant the Curators of the University the right to reproduce the artwork submitted and any design contained therein.
  • Entry constitutes permission to use the winner’s name and likeness for advertising and trade on behalf of High Point University.
