Carl Chavis Memorial Branch Hosts a Record-Breaking 23rd Annual Juneteenth Celebration at Truist Point

Sunday, June 16^th the Carl Chavis Branch hosted a Juneteenth Celebration featuring a hometown celebration for musician, actress, and entrepreneur, Fantasia Barrino. The 23^rd Annual Juneteenth Celebration welcomed over 6,000 guests, the largest attendance in event history. The complimentary ticketed wristbands were distributed entirely before Sunday, drawing in guests from all over the city and country. The Juneteenth Celebration featured food trucks, vendors, live music, local talent, and dance troupes throughout the afternoon before welcoming Fantasia to the stage for an impromptu performance and recognition ceremony.
