Lifeguarding
Lifeguard Certification
We offer Lifeguard certifications through the YMCA of the USA. Participants learn First Aid, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED utilization, Oxygen application, and Emergency Response in and outside of the pool deck. Participants must be at least 16 years-old.
A crossover course is offered for those who have a prior lifeguard certification.
WHO
Anyone at least 16 years-old interested in becoming a lifeguard.
WHAT

WHERE
All classroom and water time will take place at the Hartley Drive Family YMCA. There is an online portion that must be completed before arriving on the first day of the full certification.
