WELCOME! We are so glad you're interested in joining the Grubb family. In Afterschool Care Program (ASC), we have lots of fun! Please see below for more information.

 

WHO can attend:

ALL K-8 STUDENTS FROM THE FOLLOWING SCHOOLS:

  • Archdale Elementary
  • Hopewell Elementary
  • John Lawrence Elementary
  • New Market Elementary
  • Trindale Elementary
  • Trinity Elementary  
  • Trinity Middle 
  • Wheatmore Middle 

*If your school is not on the list, contact us! We require at least 5 children from a school to add it to the list. *

WHAT to expect:

Students who attend the Grubb Family YMCA's After School Care can expect to have FUN! We designate time each day for homework upon students' arrival to the Y. While working, students will have staff present to help as they are able. Your student will be placed in a group with others close to their age. Together, the group will have snack (provided from home), play games, learn about the Y's core values, do arts and crafts, and more! All groups will have the option to swim on Friday afternoons from 4pm to 5pm, behavior and weather permitting.

WHEN we provide care:

After School Care begins August 25th, 2025, and ends on June 10th, 2026. We will not be providing care on June 11th or 12th as it is designated for our Camp Wauneka Staff Training. All students MUST be picked up by 6pm. Pick up is outside, by the Splash Pad from 5-6pm, unless the weather is poor. If so, sign out will be under the front overhang. If you wish to pick your child up before that time, please do so inside at the front desk. In the event of poor weather, pick up will be held at the front of the facility.
 
On days when school is out, we will provide Student Fun Days at NO COST for ASC participants! Trips taken on these days will be an additional cost to all students.
 

HOW much it costs:

YMCA Member Rate:

$219 per month (plus $50 registration fee)

Program Participant Rate:

$327 per month (plus $50 registration fee)

*Please note that costs will be prorated for the following months:

August/June: YMCA Member Rate: $74/month; Program Participant Rate: $109/month

December/April: YMCA Member Rate: $164/month; Program Participant Rate: $246/month

 

Student Fun Day Information

When students are out of school due to teacher workdays or on break, the YMCA is here to help! We provide your children a fun and safe way to spend their day! We offer care from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM on all Student Fun Days and Holiday Camp dates. Please make sure to provide your child with lunch, two snacks, and swimming attire. Student Fun Days are subject to change from the below dates and are dependent on the Randolph County Schools Calendar. Note: in the event that RCS close school early due to inclement weather, the YMCA will NOT provide afternoon programming. IF schools are CANCELLED, the YMCA will host a Student Fun Day so long as road conditions in the area are favorable for vehicles to safely arrive to the YMCA.

Student Fun Day Fees:

  • After-School Participants: NO ADDITIONAL COST
  • Non-ASC Participants: $42 per day

      *If a trip is scheduled for a Student Fun Day, that will be an additional cost per student.

Early Release Dates:

On the listed dates, we will pick all students up from school and provide care until 6 pm.

Holiday Camp Information:

Holiday Camps will be offered on the following dates:

  • December 22-23, 26, 29-31, 2026
  • April 6-10, 2026

Holiday Camp Cost:

  • ASC Participant: $154/week or $37/day for individual days
  • Non-ASC Participant: $187/week or $42/day for individual days
Limited financial assistance is available for qualifying families on a first come, first served basis. Spots are limited, so parents should apply early!

Qualifying for financial assistance does not guarantee your child a spot in the program. You MUST register your child and make payment arrangements in order to be guaranteed a spot. For more information about Financial Assistance, please contact our Front Desk at (336) 861-7788

     

 

If your child needs to take medicine while enrolled in After-School, please print and complete a Medication Form.
