In 1844, George Williams founded the YMCA as a Bible Study aimed at “the improvement of the spiritual condition of young men” who he recognized lacked God in their lives. Together, he and ten men gathered in prayer for their co-workers and the community. The YMCA of High Point has remained committed to this heritage. William’s vision evolved into the YMCA Christian Mission: To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all. The YMCA mission is the guiding light of our service. It is most evident in prayers before sports games, blessings at meals and vespers to close the day of camp, but an equally important aspect of our mission is the character and culture that fills our programs and daily interactions among members, staff and volunteers.
As capital improvements are made across the YMCA of High Point branches and Camp Cheerio through the Foundation for the Future Campaign, each facility will be enhanced with a dedicated Prayer Wall that will uplift our Christian foundation and create opportunity for communal gatherings for prayer. With the addition of a Prayer Wall that is prominent in our facilities, we will spur opportunity to bring members, participants and the community closer to a relationship with Christ. The Prayer Wall will serve not only as a place for prayer, but will further ignite initiatives for faith formation, such as Bible studies, prayer teams, daily devotionals, and even online Prayer Walls. As part of this commitment to our Christian mission, we invite you to share your prayer requests and to pray for those who have initiated prayer requests with their intentions.

Please pray for my sister Rita who is having lots of health challenges for the last 6 months. I know she's frustrated but she will not go to the doctors to get help. And things are not looking good at all for her. She's got low blood sugar, she's a diabetic. Then she's got dementia and it's very hard to talk with her. I would appreciate as many prayers as possible. She's a strong woman and has come through a lot.

Please pray for my mom Lorraine's salvation and pray for her healing. She lost her hearing, has memory loss, bad posture, body pain, and high blood pressure. Pray for excellent health. Pray for a long life for Lorraine. Pray for the removal of debt and financial blessings and financial security for Lorraine. Pray Lorraine's possessions last a hundred times longer and will supernaturally become newer and repaired. Also, please pray for salvation and excellent health and long life for my Uncle Seve and Aunt Jackie. I pray salvation, healing and long life for my mom's boyfriend Joe who has cancer.
