Child Care All Day Outs

In an effort to help our community during this unprecedented crisis, the YMCA of High Point is offering All Day Outs so that parents who are still required to work outside of their home are able to do so without worry.

Starting today, March 23 and all this week (3/23-3/27), we will be offering All Day Outs at the Grubb Family Y and Hartley Family Y, from 7:30 am – 6:00 pm. The fee is $25 for Y members and $35 for non-members. These All Day Outs are open to boys and girls in K-8th Grade. Space will be limited, so please register early to reserve a spot.

Our annual Lenten Prayer Breakfast, which was scheduled for this Friday, March 27, 2020, has been postponed. The breakfast will be rescheduled in the coming months and additional information will be shared at that time.

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

- Isaiah 41:10

Updated Friday, March 13, 2020:

The YMCA of High Point is committed to the safety of our members, program participants, communities and staff. We are working with the National Y, our YMCA State Alliance, in conjunction with other state and local health organizations to determine best practices. Starting immediately, YMCA staff gatherings and employee travel has been suspended.

Effective Monday, March 16th:
• ALL Sports programs - Adult and Youth - will be suspended until April 1st.
• ALL Swim Lessons and Water Aerobics classes will be suspended until April 1st.
• ALL Group Exercise classes will be suspended until April 1st.
• Special events such as private parties will be rescheduled.
• YMCA staff gatherings and volunteer meetings will be postponed.
According to the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, community-based interventions to limit social interactions and public gatherings can have a significant impact on limiting the spread of viruses like COVID-19. The YMCA of High Point does not take these actions lightly, but rather as an appropriate response to protect the most vulnerable of our members and guests.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through this process. We realize information changes quickly and commit to keeping you informed in a timely manner.
Thank you,
Lynn Lomax, CEO
YMCA of High Point, Inc.
