COVID-19 Safety Procedures

The YMCA of High Point is implementing precautionary procedures all of our branches to help ensure the safety of our members, staff, and volunteers. Please review this page to prepare for your visit to one of our facilities.

Effective May 14, 2021: Based on the recommendations made by the CDC and Governor Roy Cooper, the YMCA of High Point no longer requires masks for using our facilities!

We practice the 3 Ws (WAIT. WASH. WEAR).

  1. We wait 6 feet apart.
  2. We wash our hands (and provide hand sanitizer throughout the facility)
  3. We wear face coverings over our nose and mouth inside the facility.

Face Coverings

  • All fully vaccinated individuals are no longer required to wear a mask inside YMCA facilities, at YMCA programs, as spectators, while working out, while on the pool deck or taking an indoor fitness class.
  • Individuals who are not fully vaccinated are expected to follow mask requirements per NCDHHS.
  • Staff, YMCA members, participants and guests are welcome to continue wearing a mask if they feel more comfortable doing so.
  • Any individual who is not feeling well or displays any symptom of an illness may not enter the building.

Updated Liability Waiver

All members and program participants must complete a Liability Waiver before making their first visit to the branch, or complete a waiver at the front desk on your first visit. Parent/Guardian(s) must sign for youth under age 18. Further information about our updated liability waiver can be found here

Building Entrances

Utilize the front entrance of the branch. Only one entrance/exit is available at this time.

Fitness Equipment

Please make sure to bring your own mat, workout towel, and water bottle each visit. No towel service is available and water fountains are for bottle fill only.

Cleaning Equipment

Cleaning is everyone's responsibility. Please make an extra effort to wipe down equipment and spaces you have utilized. Staff will be vigorously cleaning during the day with extra nightly cleaning and the facility will be closed mid-afternoon for cleaning. Keeping the Y safe is up to all of us!
