POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Senior Program Director, the Front Desk Representative delivers excellent customer service to all members, guests and program participants. Responsibilities include responding to member and guest needs, promoting membership and programs, and maintaining cleanliness and organization of the lobby and front desk areas.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Adheres and complies with the YMCA of High Point Employee Manual, Policy & Procedures Manual, and Code of Conduct.
- Provides excellent customer service to members, guests and program participants in the Y and on the phone, contributing to member retention.
- Builds relationships with members, helps members connect with one another and the YMCA.
- Handles and resolves membership concerns and informs supervisor of unusual situations or unresolved issues.
- Processes membership and program payments accurately.
- Conducts membership tours of the facility.
- Assists with general clerical work as needed.
- Maintains a neat, clean lobby and front desk area.
- Attends all staff meetings, in-service trainings and other meetings as required by supervisor.
- Conducts behavior at all times in a professional manner to reflect positively on the YMCA.
- Perform other duties and tasks as requested by immediate supervisor to facilitate efficient and effective production of the YMCA.

Requirements:
- One to two years of experience in customer service preferred.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Ability to balance a cash drawer.
- Must be able to flex schedule to include evenings and weekends.
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
- CPR/First Aid/Oxygen Certification, Completion of Redwoods Trainings (Social Media, Child Abuse Prevention, Bloodborne Pathogens).
- Completion of YMCA program-specific certifications, as deemed necessary by supervisor.
