Camp Pioneer at the Hartley YMCA

YMCA Summer Camp Programs focus on children learning new skills, making new friends, developing character and creating life-long, fun-filled memories! We offer two camp options that operate Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 6:00pm.

Camp Pioneer is for rising Kindergarten through 8th Grade. A typical day at Camp Pioneer includes activities like swimming, archery, basketball, arts and crafts, riflery and much more!
Our Counselor in Training (C.I.T.) Program is designed to allow teenagers (rising 9th and 10th Graders) opportunities to develop leadership skills and acquire the knowledge that will help prepare them to become an effective counselor.
C.I.T.s will work directly with the younger groups in Camp Pioneer. All C.I.Ts must complete the application and interview process.

Session 3: June 20 - June 24

Session 4: June 27 - July 1

Session 5: July 5 - July 8

Session 6: July 11 - July 15

Session 7: July 18 - July 22

Session 8: July 25 - July 29

Session 9: Aug. 1 - Aug. 5

Session 10: Aug. 8 - Aug. 12

Camp Pioneer and C.I.T. Fees:

$20 deposit per session due at registration.

The registration fee includes a camper shirt, breakfast, lunch and all field trips.

YMCA Member Rates:

Camp Pioneer: $140 Counselor in Training: $110

Program Participants Rates:

Camp Pioneer: $170 Counselor in Training: $140

Limited financial assistance is available for qualifying families on a first come, first served basis. Spots are limited, so parents should apply early!

Qualifying for financial assistance does not guarantee your child a spot in the program. You MUST register your child, and make payment arrangements in order to be guaranteed a spot. For more information about Financial Assistance, please contact our Front Desk at (336) 869-0151.
