Climbing and Rappelling Tower

This is a perfect place to try climbing for the first time or to practice your techniques. The tower is a 32 foot tall, 3 sided structure that provides each participant a thrilling climbing and rappelling experience. Go as high as you can, and if you do not get to the top, you can try again and again, each time pushing yourself higher until you get to the top. "Easy Street" is a good climb for beginners. The third side is used for rappelling.

Call Kevin Swider at 869-0151 for more information.

Tower Parties

Engage yourself and your children or friends in a totally new and exciting way to spend an afternoon. Two climbing sides allow for beginners and more advanced participants to climb at the same time. Climb to the top of our tower and feel the rush; then feel the thrill of rappelling down. Trained facilitators will make sure that you and your friends are safe and your experience is a great success on the 32 foot climbing and rappelling tower. Anyone over the age of 7 may participate. Your group will receive 1.5 hours on the tower and, if needed, 30 minutes under a picnic shelter. Maximum of 15 participants. Prices vary according to the number of participants and program length.

Initiative Course

The initiative course, our on-site team-building course, provides the perfect opportunity for groups to work on their communication, listening, and problem-solving skills, all of which are important team working skills. Groups of all ages and backgrounds come to the course to have a fun and meaningful experience on 20 beautiful acres of wooded land. Events are set up throughout the area which challenge groups to work together. Our main goal is to provide an experience for your group, so that you may have fun together. In the midst of having fun, you will be amazed at what is learned.

If you cannot take time to come to us at the YMCA, let us come to you. The experience can be modified to work indoors in either a classroom or meeting room at your place of business. Times and dates are available throughout the year, 7 days a week for your convenience. We want to work around your schedule so it can be most beneficial to you.

Typical experience lengths are 4 and 8 hours, but an adventure can be as short or as long as needed. Prices vary according to the number of participants and program length.
