open door policy

The YMCA is volunteer founded, volunteer led and volunteer based. Unlike any other organization in the world, the YMCA brings together people of all ages, faiths, backgrounds and incomes.

No one is turned away from YMCA programs or services due to an inability to pay. This is made possible by Friends of Youth, the annual charitable-giving program of the YMCA.

Goal

Our plans call for a new state-of-the-art family YMCA that addresses the community's need for a pool and facilities for youth, family, and senior programming. This facility will be built on land generously donated by Nereus and Jim English located on Highway 62.

Fred Meredith, Campaign Chair"The YMCA has something of interest for every one of us, regardless of age. I really enjoyed going to the Y when just a young man. The joy and fun of participating made long-lasting impressions on me personally. The citizens of Archdale-Trinity deserve the opportunity to call an organization such as the YMCA their very own. I am honored to serve as chairman of the first Board of Directors and Capital Development Committee."
