Group Exercise

The Carl and Linda Grubb YMCA offers a variety of group exercise classes. We offer mind body, strength and cardio classes with all participant levels in mind. From beginner to advance we welcome you to get your blood pumping or relax in your choice of class free to all members! Flex-n-Pump, Zumba and Yoga are three of our many classes to choose from. Women's Self Defense Classes
Join us for women's self-defense classes -one hour of power each Monday night in January and February. Learn how to get free from grabs, chokes and holds using several differenet techniques to give you the power to escape an attacker. This class will teach you what to do if nyou are put in an unfriendly situation - in a parking lot of any place you are attacked. This class is for women 18 and older.
Health Seekers/Beginners
It might be difficult to understand or even know which exercises to do; what muscles to work and how to perform these exercises while maintaining proper form in our workouts. Equipment in the Wellness Center can sometimes seem overwhelming; however if you learn the proper technique of a few basic exercises, you will not only have a greater control and understanding over your workout, but you may just look like an expert! You enter the room, walk right to the dumbbells, pick your specific weight and ready, set, go!
Flex-n-Pump – The first 10 participants to sign up will be guaranteed a ‘step and bar station’ participants past 10 are welcome and will use the two body bars; 1 light and 1 heavy.

Kettlebell Pump – We have limited lightweight Kettlebells so arrive early to claim your bell!
Zumba – In this fun Latin inspired dance class we welcome you to move groove, dance and sweat! Accompanied by an adult, kids as young as 8 years are welcome!

ZumbaAtomic - Kids love to crank up the music, shake, wiggle and have a blast with their friends. So why not get fit while they’re at it? This class is for ages 4-12. Kids will have a party learning these modified Zumba moves and dance out the door!
