Mission

To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all.

The YMCA is volunteer founded, volunteer led and volunteer based. Unlike any other organization in the world, the YMCA brings together people of all ages, faiths, backgrounds and incomes.

No one is turned away from YMCA programs or services due to an inability to pay. This is made possible by Friends of Youth, the annual charitable-giving program of the YMCA.

2012 Friends of Youth Flyer

The story of the YMCA of Greater High Point is one of neighbors coming together to build a strong and vibrant community in High Point.

For members, that means new friends along with new opportunities for fun, fitness, and personal fulfillment. But just as important are our efforts to reach out to the entire community, including those who are often most in need - our children.

Our Friends of Youth campaign allows us to reach out to children in need. The dollars put towards this effort do not come from membership and program fees. The campaign's success depends on the charitable contributions from friends like you.

Friends of Youth campaign helps us provide a wide range of programs and activities for kids who cannot afford the cost of programs. These include after school care, summer day camp, swimming lessons, youth sports, and youth memberships. As a charitable non-profit here in High Point, the YMCA is dedicated to being available to all of our children. That's why we began our Friends of Youth campaign, and it's why we're asking for your support and involvement to assure its success.

Only with your help can we provide more children with a safe and nurturing place to go after school or give teens the guidance and creative outlets they need. Together we can give every child a place to go and a chance to grow.

As a contributor, your money stays in High Point for the benefit of the community. It's an investment in the future that pays off in more ways that you can imagine.

Give to High Point's future by making a generous contribution this year. Help us provide more children with the unique opportunities that make the YMCA experience so special. It will make a greater difference than you know.
