Trial Period Dates
All swimmers are welcome to a one week trial period with
the Dolphins Swim Team before making a commitment to join the team. If you have any question about which practice group is best for your swimmer please contact Gerald McLean at 869-0151.
YMCA Membership & Program Fees
The YMCA membership fee and the initial Dolphins Program payment
are due by the start of the season. A monthly bank draft option is available, for the Dolphins Program fee. See the Skill Level Practice Groups sheet for details on the program fee by practice groups. All swimmers must have a current Hartley Drive Family membership throughout the season to participate in the Dolphins program. Financial Assistance is available to families that qualify provided the resources are available. To apply for Financial Assistance, please complete an application and attach a copy of your 2010 Federal Tax Forms and turn it in at the YMCA Front Desk. The Dolphins Program fee includes a Dolphins t-shirt, GYSSA League fees, and end of season award.

Membership Fee for Youth (3-12): $180.00 (annual
fee)
Membership Fee for Teen (13-18): $240.00 (or $20
monthly bank draft). The monthly draft will continue until you complete a Draft Termination Form at the front desk.
Dolphins Program Goal
The YMCA Dolphins Swim Team is for boys and girls ages 6-18. The
Dolphins program goal is for each swimmer to have a positive competitive
swimming experience while improving their strokes, starts, turns,
and finishes. Practices are designed for each swimmer's abilities
and age levels. Everybody Swims, Everybody Wins!!

Coaches
Doug Fullerton, Head Coach: Coach Fullerton attended Grove City College earning a BSME in Mechanical Engineering. He later attended Duke University as a Fuqua Scholar earning his MBA concentration in Strategy and Finance. During his time at Grove City College, he swam in both the East Coast Athletic Conference and President's Athletic Conference. He was named PAC Conference MVP 3 conservative years, ECAC Scholar Athlete of the Year, three time Dick Jewell Swimming and Diving MVP recipient, and Grove City College Sportsman of the Year while obtaining status as both Academic and Athletic All-American.
In 2002, he was inducted into the Grove City College Swimming and Diving Hall of Fame. He has served as head coach for the Bishop McGuiness High School men's and women's swim teams, where both team went undefeated throughout the Northwest Conference. He is an ASCA Level 1 and Level II Certified Performance Coach, garnering Men's Team Coach of the Year and Women's Team Coach of the Year for the Northwest Conference in 2011. Coach Fullerton took over the Dolphins program in December 2010. He has also coached the YMCA spring and summer clinics.
Meredith Martin, Assistant Coach: Meredith has been swimming for 10 years. Her favorite strokes are freestyle and breastroke. She has been involved in the YMCa for 4 years teaching swim lessons and lifeguarding. She is currently helping coach a swim clinic for Meadowlands Swim Team. She is also involved in coaching softball for the Triad Pride.
Aubrey Beatty, Assistant Coach: Aubrey grew up in Colorado. She has been lifeguarding for 4 years and has been involved teaching swim lessons at the YMCA for a year. She is an elementary school education major at HPU. She has been swimming her whole life. She is currently helping coach the Dolphins Swim Clinic at the Oakview Pool.
David Smith, Administrative Assistant: David has been involved with the Dolphins Swim Team for the past 18 years. He provides administrative assistance to all of the coaches by processing meet entries, entering event times and generating reports on meet results. David provides all of his time on a volunteer basis. The Dolphins Swim Team is grateful to have such a committed volunteer.
