Trial Period Dates
All swimmers are welcome to a two week trial period with
the Dolphins Swim Team before making a commitment to join the team. If you have any question about which practice group is best for your swimmer please contact JP McClinton at 869-0151.
YMCA Membership & Program Fees
The YMCA membership fee and the initial Dolphins Program payment
are due on Monday, September 22nd . A monthly bank draft option is available, for the Dolphins Program fee. See the SKill Level Practice Groups sheet for details on the program fee by practice groups. All swimmers must have a current Hartley Drive Family membership throughout the season to participate in the Dolphins program. Financial Assistance is available to families that qualify provided the resources are available. To apply for Financial Assistance, please complete an application and attach a copy of your 2008 Federal Tax Forms and turn it in at the YMCA Front Desk. The Dolphins Program fee includes a Dolphins t-shirt, GYSSA League fees, and end of season award.

Membership Fee for Youth (3-12): $144.00 (Annual fee or $12 monthly bank draft)
Membership Fee for Teen (13-18): $228.00 (Annual fee or $19
monthly bank draft)
Dolphins Program Goal
The YMCA Dolphins Swim Team is for boys and girls ages 6-18. The
Dolphins program goal is for each swimmer to have a positive competitive
swimming experience while improving their strokes, starts, turns,
and finishes. Practices are designed for each swimmer's abilities
and age levels. Everybody Swims, Everybody Wins!!

Coaches
John
Paul McClinton (JP), Head Coach: JP has been involved
with the Dolphins Swim Team during this past year as a coach of
the Dolphins White group. He has coached for the Greensboro
Community YMCA swim team for 4 years before coming to the Dolphins.
He also helped start the Greensboro YMCA Bear summer swim team and
was Head Water Dawg for the 2007 Trindale Swim Club Swim Team in
Archdale. He graduated from UNCG in 2006. JP is now the
Aquatics Director for the Hartley Drive YMCA. He will lead
the White and Green Group this season.
Bill
Casazza, Junior/Senior Coach: Bill has been involved with
the Dolphins Swim Team for the past 6 years of which the past 4
years have been as a Dolphins coach. He has been involved
in competitive swimming most of his life with several years on YMCA
swim teams. Bill graduated from James Madison University with
a BS in Computer Science. He swam 4 years on scholarship for
the James Madison University swimming and diving team. During
his senior year, he was named the team captain of the swim team.
Bill continues to swim as an adult to stay in shape and for his
love of swimming.
Lori
Casazza, Junior/Senior Assistant Coach: She has been involved
with the Dolphins Swim Team for the past 6 years and during this
past year as a volunteer coach helping out with the Dolphins Junior
group. She graduated from James Madison University with a
BS in Biology and Elementary Education. Lori was a competitive
gymnast for 10 years, coached gymnastics teams for 7 years, and
taught elementary school for 6 years. She will assist in coaching
the Junior and Senior Group this season.
Lindsay Sovart, Assistant Coach: Lindsay swam for the Edison Elks for 12 years and the Scarlett Aquatic Club year round swim team for 6 years. She was a 2 time qualifier for the New Jersey Junior Olympics. She has taught swim lessons for the past 5 years and wored at the High Point YMCA for the past year. Lindsay will be coaching the Green, White, and Red swim groups.
Sarah Martin, Assistant Coach: Sarah swam for the Oak View Blue Marlins for six years and Southwest High School for two years. She is a senior at UNC Greensboro and has worked for the High Point YMCA as a lifeguard and swimming instructor for the past 4 years. Sarah will be coaching primarily the Red and White swim groups.
David Smith, Administrative Assistant: He has
been involved with the Dolphins Swim Team for the past 15 years.
He provides administrative assistance to all of the coaches by processing
meet entries, entering event times, and generating reports on meet
results. He does all of his work for the Dolphins Swim Team
on a volunteer basis. David is a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill,
GTCC and Winston-Salem State University.
